My nomadic life as a teenage gypsy continues...

Ah, on the road again! I leave on Sunday, July 30, 2006, and I'm headed to Rochester, NY with a final destination of L.A., California! You would think I'm totally stoked, but... I'm kind of depressed about it. I mean, I love moving - it's exciting and thrilling and there are so many new things around every turn - but I like my life right now. I really, really like my life right now. It's nice knowing for sure that you're cared about, you know? It's really hard for me to give that up.

So, details? Here's what's happening: My bro, Steve (20), is driving down to Kentucky tomorrow to visit. He has something important to tell us, though I'm not sure what. He's going to stay until Sunday, and then the two of us are driving all the way back to NY. (It's a ten to twelve hour drive, so helloooooooo road trip~!) It might be three of us, if my cousin Erin can get off work next week. She might come hang out, and then she and I will stay with Steve for a week before she flies back.

Assuming Erin doesn't come, I'll be dropped off at Linn's house Sunday evening/Monday morning and I'll stay there for a week (till Lonn gets home), then head over to Lonn's house for two weeks until August 15. Assuming Erin does come, we'll hang at Steve's for a week (like I said above), then when she leaves I'll go to Linn's for a week, then Jenn's for a week.

On August 14, I'll spend the night at Steve's so that he doesn't have to pick me up (he lives in the city while Jenn lives in the suburbs, so he would have to drive from the city to the suburbs to the city just to get me). On the morning of August 15, 2006, I'll board a 6:30-ish EDT flight to Washington DC. I'll arrive around 7:30 EDT, with a full flight time of 1:15.

I'll have a 55 minute layover, then at 8:30 EDT I'll board my second flight to L.A. The flight will take five hours and twenty-five minutes and I'll be on a Boeing 767 (how cool!). I'll arrive at about 11 PDT, ie. 2 EDT, with a full trip duration of 7:40.

Pretty cool, huh? The best part is that all of this is costing me virtually nothing (no joke). I'm driving to NY, staying with friends, and my grandmother bought my ticket to CA (she's the one I'll be staying with). So, all of this is pretty much FREE. How can you possibly beat that?

Alright, I'll fill you in more in a week or so. See ya!

-Kasia

Ps. On a different note, I'm halfway through chapter two of For We Battle Not and nearly done with chapter six of Hitoriaruki: Walking Alone. Look forward to it! Check out www.geocities.com/agizgal/forwebattlenot.html for the first chapter of FWBN and www.fanfiction.net/~agizgal for Hitoriaruki. More soon~!

Birthdays and ... Erm ... Stuff.

Okay, so I turned 18 July 8th... Ie. yesterday, only like 3 hours ago. Wootage for me, hehe. Oh, and my brother is coming into town soon!!!! I'm so stoked, I miss him so much~! I'm also going to start working on putting my stories online so that I can link them here. It seems pointless to just put them right here (since they're like at least 10 or so pages long each). Although, I'm wondering if that's okay because I plan on eventually publishing them... I'll go check LJ's rules for stuff like that. I don't want to put my writing up only to have them tell me that they now own it X.x ! So I'll do some research first.

Oh, speaking of research - I'm working on a new project, hehe~! This time, it's a study of "mythical" creatures and the Bible. I have a bit of interest in Atlantis now, too, so I'm checking for evidence and things behind it. Sounds way sci-fi-ish, but I'm enjoying it - it's definitely keeping my interest.

Ah, hey, if anyone can reccommend a good book to learn C# programming from, let me know - I'm working on it through NetLibrary.com but it's pretty tedious. This is probably because I'm on a dial-up connection for the summer (staying with my Dad on break)... Dial-up sucks~!

-Kasia

I feel like a gypsy x.x ...

Okay, soon to be 18 year old me (countdown: 10 days~!) has moved around exactly.... *counts* .....exactly six times in the past two and a half months. Yeah. That's not a good track record, you know? I mean, honestly, that's an average of 2 weeks per place! In my defense, they were all totally necessary and I've been in the same place now for nearly a month now, but still! So, here's the [very brief] explanation:

Was with mom, got kicked out for very ridiculous reasons, moved in with my good friend Linn.

Stayed there until her fam went to Florida for two and a half weeks, during which time I was with Ash. Then I moved back to Linn's. Then me and my bro talked because he had just bought a house, and I moved in with him. That lasted for only a week because his roommate was coming home drunk and loud every night, not to mention I couldn't find rides to college.

Sooo... I moved to Lonn's house, where I stayed the last three weeks of class (thus giving me the chance to finish finals - I ended up getting two A's and a B, by the way... try doing THAT after you've missed half the classes~!), and waited for my dad to call me from Kentucky with flight information so that I would know when I was moving down here.

I flew here on June 2nd, but get this: all my flights were delayed! I literally spent ten hours in airports trying to get from NY to Louisville! The good news is, I managed to get a ton of work done on my manga, video game and novel. That was convenient, ne?

-Kasia
